 CHOIR CLUB

A fun way to explore singing!

Come and join us for our brand new and exciting lunchtime Choir Club! Joining Choir Club is such a great way to be:

 Creative!

Singing in a choir encourages creativity, while learning in a friendly, group environment.
 Social!

Learning in a group can help develop team work, communication and social skills.
 Academic!

Studies show improved numeracy and language skills go hand in hand with learning music.
 Organised!

Learning music has been shown to improve memory, and can help develop self-discipline and focus.
 Relaxed

Singing can help children develop better emotional management, while helping develop better physical and mental health.
 Yourself!

Singing is just so fun isn't it!? Who doesn't enjoy belting songs out in the shower? Singing can help develop confidence and self-esteem in children.

Choir Club is designed for KS1 and KS2 students, where children will learn about warming up the voice, how to sing melodies, and learn how to harmonise, all through singing various songs in an inclusive environment.

 HOW DOES IT WORK?

We've made Choir Club as simple as possible, by making it a monthly subscription and by keeping the prices as low as we possibly can! Choir Club is:

 £10 per month
Payment is collected September to July, no payment in August. Super convenient and with minimal setup.

 30 minutes weekly
With groups split into KS1 and KS2 and taught during lunch break, children still have time to get something to eat and relax.

 Term-time only
We aim to deliver a maximum of 37 sessions per year. Some months will have 2 sessions and other months will have 5, but it evens out over the year.

 High quality, low cost
At roughly £3 a session over the course of a year, Choir Club is incredible value for money! We've made it as low cost as possible, without impacting on quality.

 Maximum of 15 children
The right balance between fun and organised. Keeping the groups at a maximum of 15 and keeping sessions 30 minutes means we can keep Choir Club as fun as possible.

The Choir Club has limited availability and is run on a first-come-first-served basis, so make sure to claim your child's place by using the form below! We will be running a waiting list for this club so if you miss out on an initial place you'll be added to this list. Once your child reaches the top of the waiting list they will be added to the choir automatically as soon as a space becomes available (this will be confirmed with you via email).

Have questions before you want to sign up? Please email us at contact@themusicworks.uk or call us on 01483 516060 and we will be happy to help!

 CLAIM YOUR SPACE!

To claim your child's space in Choir Club, please fill in the form below. The form will ask for payment information at the end but you will only be charged the monthly subscription when your child can actively participate in the choir. You will not be charged if on the waiting list.

* Please ignore the 'Student Email' field on the form, unfortunately it can't be removed from the form, but we don't use it!

** Already a student with The Music Works? Don't worry, if you use the same email and bank card you used when you signed up before, the information submitted in the sign-up form below will be added to your current family account on My Music Staff!

 WHO IS THE MUSIC WORKS?

The Music Works is a not-for-profit, community-focused company that supports music education in the Surrey/Hampshire area. With two music schools (Milford & Haslemere) we offer lessons to the local community:

Monday to Friday - 3.30pm-8pm
Saturday - 9am-3pm (Milford only)

We also teach at local schools during the school day, and online anytime!

 WHY JOIN TMW?

The Music Works is a collective of music educators, from the very top to the very bottom. We have a small but wonderful admin team of local people, working with a team of almost 30 music teachers every day to deliver high quality music lessons, at fair prices, at a variety of locations. Our goal is 'Music For All'!

Inclusivity and support is the name of the game, which is why we also support local schools by supplying free bursary places. To give students the best opportunities possible we also organise and support countless events each year, from small open mic evenings to large scale events like the Haslemere Fringe. We aim to give performance opportunities to every student, to help create positive outcomes & experiences, to nurture positive attitudes and feelings regarding learning. In recent years we have also supported those students who excel, by offering further opportunities, such as developing experience as music teachers and industry advice and guidance.

The Music Works in Milford is also a 'Champion' Rockschool Exam Centre (in the top 20 in the UK), which allows students to take their exams in a familiar location.

 WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?
